For Additional Mathematics
2008 Target is still valid except that reduced target score of 80% is no longer allowed. This is in view of the fact that 80% is still B3. As such, the standard target of 85% is the minimum allowed. Should you intend to fight for an A1... please aim for 90%.
Total Score = 180 marks
>85% = 153 marks ( Max loss of 27 marks aka 3.5 questions)
>90% = 162 marks ( Max loss of 18 marks aka 2.5 questions)
For Elementary Mathematics
Both persons who got B3 estimated a loss of around 35 marks.
Thus the Elementary Mathematics target is the same as the Additional Mathematics target.
Total Score = 180 marks
>85% = 153 marks ( Paper 1 less than 10 marks loss and Paper 2 less than 17 marks loss)
>90% = 162 marks ( Paper 1 less than 8 marks loss and Paper 2 less than 10 marks loss)
